About Sri Koorathazhwan Goshala Kainkarya Trust

“Dharmo Rakshati Rakshitah” is the guiding principle of our service. Inspired by Lord Krishna, the eternal protector of cows, we dedicate our lives to caring for sacred cows and serving bhagavathas as an offering of bhakti.

What began as Nandavanam and Pushpa Kainkaryam gradually expanded into the establishment of the Koorathazhwan Goshala — a journey we believe unfolded through divine guidance.

Our Story

Chinnu Ramanujadasan (Trustee)
Chinnu Ramanujadasan oversees the daily spiritual and operational responsibilities of the trust. Through disciplined daily service, he ensures that the temple tradition of Viswaroopam, cow protection, and bhagavatha seva continue without interruption.

I was the youngest in my family, and my parents named me after my grandpa, which is how I came to be called “Chinnu.” At sixteen, I joined our family business. But life took a different turn.

A spiritual calling led me to Thiruvallikeni. My devotion to Lord Parthasarathy changed the course of my life.

Under the guidance of Rukmini Ramanujadasi and her husband Govinda Ramanujadasan, Veeraragavan Suresh Swamy, and I was directed to the Sri Vaishnava Sampradaya. With the divine blessings, I was initiated into the Sri Vaishanava Sampradayam by Vaikuntavasi - Shri U. Ve Kumaravadi. Se Ramanujacharyar, Shri Sriperumbudur Srimath Appan Parakala Ramanuja Embar Jeeyar Swamy.

What began as participation in kainkaryam slowly became life itself.

With my family’s support, the service expanded in Thadiyaradhanai and Thiruvallikeni by organising devotional tours to the Divya Desams and supporting temple kainkaryams in Kooram. It was Ramanujan Swamy who became the sadacharya and guided me on Thadiyaradhanai. Through this journey, I met Aandal, my dharma Pathini, and we got married.

One Thadiyaradhanai became a turning point. What felt like a miracle led us to move from Chennai to Kooram to serve Koorathazhwan.

From the Nandavanam service to establishing the Goshala, this journey has grown into a family commitment. Today, we are a family of four, along with our cows, dedicated entirely to this dharmic path.

Aandal Ramanujadasi (Trustee)
Aandal plays an integral role in the spiritual and operational responsibilities. Through disciplined daily service, she ensures that tradition, learning, and devotion continue across generations.

Born and raised in a Sri Vaishnava family in Kanchi, Adiyaen pursued Chartered Accountancy and completed the CA Intermediate and articleship.

During this time, I met my Swamy, Chinnu Ramanujadasan. Our conversations during courtship centred around kainkaryam and service. With the blessings of KoorathAzhwan, we were married — unaware then that we would one day dedicate our lives to serving Him daily in Kooram.

My husband became my Sadacharyar and guided me deeply into the spirit of seva.

From Pushpa Kainkaryam, our service expanded to Ramanuja Koodam and eventually the Goshala. What began as participation gradually became our life’s calling.

Today, I am the mother of two children, and together we are a family of thirty — including our cows and horse — living a life rooted in dharma and daily service is a daily blessing.
